shakingImpart and Impact

I recently had an opportunity to speak to a group of middle school students. I watched them perform amazing original speeches from memory about great people. Awesome! Afterwards, I conversed with them about leaving their imprint in the earth. It was a great experience.

The majority of these children were excelling because they had a good support system and a great teacher. They knew their teacher, Mrs. Cheryl Tomlinson, cared for them and believed in them. She really challenged them. In that room, I saw tomorrow’s leaders, not tomorrow’s negative statistics.

Do not forget that you have a responsibility to the younger generation. You have so much on the inside of you that you can impart. This week think about whose life you are impacting. What are you imparting? Who are you imparting into? Who are you being a mentor or role model for? There are so many children that can use a big sister and someone to believe in them. There are so many children who would love to learn what you already know.  Look around in your community for programs where you can share your gifts or talents with a child?

Next to Christ, my mother is my greatest role model. It’s because of her impartation, that I’m who I am. If you have children in your life already, whether you know it or not, you’re imparting into them. Impart something good-something that can help them develop into the great people they were born to be. Challenge them to make positive choices and live positive lives by making your positive choices. Live a positive life before them. Refuse to allow the children in your life or community to become a negative statistic. Help them to define and unveil their beauty within themselves by allowing your beauty to come forth and be imparted into them. bug
