A SHIFT IN BEAUTY PARADIGM ROCKS THE L.A. AND
GLOBAL LITERARY, ON-LINE PUBLISHING, FASHION AND BEAUTY INDUSTRIES… THROUGH “BEAUTY
COME FORTH”…
Los Angeles, CA (September 2009) - Writer,
fashion designer, motivational speaker and entrepreneur Myra
Wallace announces the simultaneous launch of BEAUTY
COME FORTH (the self-help “bible” to women’s
beauty from the inside out), WWW.BEAUTYCOMEFORTH.COM (The
monthly on-line magazine and weekly web TV series) and MYLA (the
upscale women’s clothing collection).
On Thursday October 8th 2009, from 6pm to 11pm the Arte Calidad
Cultural Institute (located at 519 S. Hewitt Street, Los Angeles,
CA 90013) in heart of Los Angeles’ Artist Loft District, will
be a hotbed of live music (featuring the debut Bosa Nova Album of Brazilian
Artist, FABIO), entertainment, music, international food tasting, a
European style runway show and a book signing by the author herself,
Myra Wallace.
Over 300 of the city’s most notable fashionistas, tastemakers,
stylists, media, trendsetters and celebrities such as: Lisa Leslie,
Malik Yoba, Cookie Johnson, Kenny Lattimore, Chante Moore and Wendy
Raquel Williams, John Salley, A.C. Green, Bishop Noel Jones and Debbie
Allen are among the list of specially- invited, high profile
guests.
BEAUTY COME FORTH (BCF) is beyond the simple launch
of a book, on-line publication or clothing collection, it’s a resolute
and conscious global movement that has become a beacon of hope for millions
of women who find themselves pitted against the often unattainable
traditional standards of beauty that have been set by the Fashion
and Beauty industries for nearly 100 years. Rooted in the acronym F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S. (Forgive,
Accept, Believe in, Understand, Love, Organize, Unleash and Salute yourself) BCF is
in and of itself a shift in the beauty paradigm starting with and sustained by the
core, spiritual principles of beauty. “This isn’t
about setting ideals that are unattainable for women. It’s about
supporting women with images of the greater potential of themselves and
nurturing that dynamic from within. It’s a lifestyle, not a quick
fix from reading a magazine article,” says Wallace.

Within the pages of the book and workbook The BCF principles
don’t attempt to solve every problem a woman might face in
her active, daily life but it does unapologetically relieve
her from trying to measure up to fantasies of an ideal (almost robotic)
being, aiming to be all things to all the people in all situations.
BEAUTY COME FORTH the on-line magazine is among the
most highly anticipated web-based publication launches to hit the internet
in years. Through BCF’s new
(on-line) world order, women of all sizes, shapes, shades, and
nationalities are not only featured, but celebrated for being the queens
they are; within their own skin! With a fan base of thousands already
sourcing the book on Amazon.com, the webzine allows every woman to get
a daily does of BCF principles at the click of a mouse.
GLAMOUROUS AND GREEN
In addition to the book and webzine, Wallace will also debut her holiday
collection of MYLA (the clothing collection) 2009-2010
on the runway the evening of the launch. A noted fashion designer for
more than two decades, the MYLA collection has been
designed with every woman in mind. Wallace’s design
philosophy adheres to the notion that despite their individual sizes
and shapes, women share a silent sisterhood in their desire to celebrate
their femininity and express it through the colors they wear. The line
was created with Mother Earth in mind and takes advantage of use of natural earth-friendly
fabrics that are both comfortable and express the sensuous silhouettes
the MYLA collection is known for. A snippet of the MYLA
Collection will be featured in CNN’s Headline news on October 5th
2009.
Wallace, herself a businesswoman of more than 20 years in the fashion
and beauty industries reflects the archetype of the modern woman; facing
every challenge both personal and public, one at a time. After designing
and launching what could be considered the premier, fashion-forward
collection of Big and Tall Men’s apparel under the label M.K.O.MAN,
(with then partner A.C. Green formerly NBA), dressing most of
the NBA and NFL in her clothing and directing
the Los Angeles Black Business Expo and Trade Show for nearly
a decade, Wallace took a much needed hiatus to pen her book and thus
a global movement was born. Through the advent of BEAUTY COME
FORTH, Wallace hopes to inspire, motivate and transform every
woman who is ready to a tiny step, or for that matter a giant leap into
her own true potential.
“This is non-negotiable,” says Wallace! It’s
not a gentle knock at the door, rather a bold command to have every woman
tell her BEAUTY to COME
FORTH!
